How do elephants help plants?

The elephants feet are very big, so it can trample down grasses to make room for other plants.

The elephants dung, which is very large, helps the plants grow because it is rich in nutrients. The elephant moves around a lot, creating many paths. This helps many animals to move around without being seen by predators. The elephants also create watering holes for other animals to drink at.

Elephants also help in the spread of seeds by defecating after the consumption of fruits. These seeds help in the regeneration of grasslands.

They also dig holes in the earth which makes the soil loose and easy for seeds to sprout growth which grows back more quickly.

By trampling or moving the ground, elephants are also able to aerate the soil which helps the growth of new plants.
